Procurement and social responsibility
Pirkanmaan Voimia Oy conducts public procurement in an open and impartial manner, in accordance with current procurement legislation. In the planning and implementation of procurement, we ensure equal treatment of tenderers, a transparent process and appropriate competition.
During the procurement planning phase, we engage in market dialogue on a tender-by-tender basis with existing and known tenderers to ensure high-quality specifications and compliance with minimum requirements, as well as to ensure that as many tenderers as possible have the opportunity to submit a tender for our procurement. For each procurement, we evaluate the tender comparison criteria to achieve the best overall economic solution, either by using quality points or by emphasising the minimum requirements. We evaluate the tenders received in accordance with the terms of the tender and send the procurement decision and instructions on how to appeal to all parties involved in the tender.
Current tenders are published on Hilma (hankintailmoitukset.fi) and on our partner Tuomi Logistiikka’s tender service, through which bidders can view the tenders and submit their bids electronically.
In our procurement processes, we require all suppliers to commit to Pirkanmaan Voima’s supplier responsibility requirements. These responsibility requirements cover, among other things, social responsibility, respect for human rights, fundamental rights at work, a safe working environment and the principles of good governance. Commitment to these responsibility requirements is a prerequisite for submitting a tender and acting as a contractual partner. Find out more about the requirements below:
Responsible procurement is an integral part of Voimia’s day-to-day operations and long-term objectives.
