Meal services for housing services
Mealtimes are the best part of the day. The residents of our housing units include clients of outpatient services, services for the elderly and services for people with disabilities. Pirkanmaan Voimia is primarily responsible for organising meal services across the Pirkanmaa welfare region. We provide clients with lunch and dinner, as well as breakfast, evening and snack items via our grocery delivery service.
Cooperation between ward staff and catering staff is of the utmost importance in ensuring that patients receive a balanced diet. Ward staff order all the items served at breakfast, afternoon tea and afternoon coffee, such as cold cuts and vegetables. In addition, ward staff are responsible for ordering the bread, spreads and drinks served at lunch and dinner.
The recommendations for daily meals are set out below. To ensure a well-balanced diet, everyone should eat a combination of foods similar to those listed below on a daily basis, in line with their individual needs.
