Energy
for studying
The aim of school meals is to promote young people’s wellbeing, health and vitality. Meals play a significant role in fostering a culture of good eating. A peaceful meal break provides a welcome respite in the middle of the day and gives pupils the energy they need for the rest of the day’s lessons. It is important that young people eat a balanced meal comprising all the necessary components at school, as school lunches should provide around a third of their daily energy requirements.
