Respect for the environment, customer involvement, the promotion of healthy eating and the use of high-quality ingredients are key aspects of our approach.
When developing and delivering our services, we take a holistic approach to sustainability throughout the entire service delivery chain, from start to finish. We look after our staff’s wellbeing at work and ensure they can cope with the demands of their jobs. Our catering and cleaning services have been awarded the Key Flag symbol as a mark of Finnish craftsmanship.
We practise responsible procurement. Our procurement criteria take into account factors such as animal welfare.
We minimise the amount of waste generated and harmful environmental impacts by using the right methods and equipment, as well as by sorting waste. Using our production control system, we optimise the amount of food produced, thereby reducing food waste. We donate surplus food to food banks and seek new solutions for utilising food waste. Our operations are guided by the EcoCompass environmental management system.
As a provider and organiser of support services, we fulfil our social responsibility by looking after the well-being of local residents. We fulfil our social responsibility by, for example, employing people who face difficulties in finding work. Through our high-quality cleaning services, we ensure that our clients’ working environments are pleasant and healthy. Our cleaning services have been awarded the Nordic Swan Ecolabel. We help our customers make nutritionally balanced choices every day to support their wellbeing. Our nursery and school meals have been awarded the Heart Symbol as a mark of heart-friendly food. By pooling our resources, we provide safe services efficiently and cost-effectively.
We promote responsibility through communication and interactive collaboration with customers and stakeholders. Our communication is open and transparent. We invest in staff training and encourage initiative and proactivity. We guide customers towards healthy and sustainable choices and develop our services together with them.
