Product development is carried out to increase the attractiveness of vegetarian food and the share of vegetables and other climate-friendly ingredients in other dishes, too. In practice, this means partially replacing high-emission foodstuffs such as meat, rice and dairy products with raw materials that cause less emissions. Pirkanmaan Voimia’s goal is to make half of children’s and young people’s meals climate-friendly by 2023, which is also in line with official nutrition recommendations.
